How to connect your AI agent through MCP

The Agentcy does not bring its own model. It gives yours a workspace. Connect it once, without needing to know what an MCP server is.

What MCP means

MCP is the standard plug that lets an AI agent talk to an outside application. The Agentcy opens the same workspace you see: your brand, pieces, saved templates, and calendar. What the agent writes appears in your account, with no separate draft to reconcile.

If this is your first connection, the practical part is just copy and paste. The technical reference is in For agents and in the skill.

What you need

An account on The Agentcy, an MCP-compatible agent, and about five minutes. We test Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex, and the same connection works with claude.ai and ChatGPT. Any client that speaks MCP can use it.

One path: OAuth

Connect and authorizeNew clients add The Agentcy as a remote MCP server. Paste the URL, then authorize your account and the workspace in one screen.

You can disconnect from the client settings or from Your account. Legacy keys that already exist keep working, but new connections use OAuth.

Connect through OAuth

  1. 01
Open your client's settingsOpen the connectors or MCP servers section in Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.
  2. 02
Add The AgentcyChoose a remote server, name it theagentcy, and paste the URL below.
  3. 03
Authorize the workspaceOur authorization screen shows the client, workspace, and email. Choose Allow and return to the chat.
  4. 04
Check the connectionAsk your agent to read your brand. If it answers with your colors and fonts, it is connected.

If the connector screen looks different, use the client's official connector documentation.

The first request

Start by asking the agent to read the skill. It learns the piece schema, your brand tokens, the tools, and the editing operations.

Your agent reads the brand kit, designs each slide with your tokens, and leaves the piece in your workspace. It returns a preview link with the real render. Open the piece from Pieces and edit it like any other.

A useful second request is: schedule it for next Tuesday. That gives the piece a date, which appears in Home and on the piece card.

What your agent can and cannot do

ReadYour full brand kit, saved templates, pieces, and what is planned on your calendar.
DesignCreate a branded piece or start from one of your templates, then edit any layer on any slide.
OrganizeChange a title, category, planned date, or status. Deleting asks for confirmation.
PreviewCreate a one-use link with the real render so someone can review the piece without opening the app.
PublishDirect publishing is not an agent tool. The publish button belongs to you in the editor.

Version checks prevent one save from silently overwriting another, and history identifies who made each version.

If something does not work

401The authorization expired or is incomplete. Reconnect The Agentcy from the client settings and allow access again.
No toolsRestart the client and check that the URL matches the one above exactly.
Missing pieceConfirm that the client is connected to the account and workspace you authorized.
